Who We Are
David Loomis has over 30 years of experience in healthcare. As President of The Health Group, he has served numerous physician and hospital clients in the Southwestern United States over the past fifteen years on projects ranging from development of physician / hospital organizations to the formation of independent regional physician group practices. Subsequently, under his leadership, The Health Group, headquarters located in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex area, has become a market leader in practice management.
As President of the Texas Back Institute, Mr. Loomis oversaw expansion from a local provider of spine care to a regional entity with operations in North, South and West Texas with annual revenue in excess of $30 million.
As Executive Vice President of Pearle Vision Center, Mr. Loomis managed the development and implementation of the company’s optical retail franchise program for opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists. In four years time the company transitioned from 100% company owned locations to 60% franchised locations.
Mr. Loomis holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master
of Business Administration degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia,
Pa. He and his wife,
Jo, have three adult children.
Michele Schaeffer has been with The Health Group, as Vice President of Operations, since 1997. She has provided principal leadership in the company’s growth from three employees to well over 100 and the transition from a practice management consulting company to an organization that primarily provides contract management services.
Prior to joining The Health Group, Mrs. Schaeffer held the position of Vice President of Clinic Operations for Physician Capital Partners, an MSO consisting of 23 locations with 65 providers who generated over $33 million in annual revenues. Mrs. Schaeffer set policy, oversaw clinic operations, and orchestrated the integration of new acquisitions into the organization. In addition to an extensive background in medical administration, Mrs. Schaeffer has worked in the legal and educational arenas and has lived and worked in Europe and Asia, giving her the advantage of working in diverse populations with different cultures, backgrounds, and viewpoints.
Mrs. Schaeffer holds a degree in Business Administration from the University
Debi Glick is Vice President of Administration and Billing
Services responsible for Billing, Human Resources and Finance. Under
her leadership, the company has been able to increase cash flow to management
clients by reducing accounts receivable, bad debt and aging of accounts
to levels that are far superior to industry standards. She oversaw
state of the art improvements to support system software and improvements
in quality and productivity of account reps that resulted in the company’s
ability to handle significant growth in business volume within the
existing work force. As a result, the company has been able to
maintain fees for its services that are among the lowest in the industry.
Ms. Glick, a native of Indiana received her Bachelor’s
Degree in Social Work from the University of Evansville and her MBA
in Healthcare Administration from the University of Dallas.
